The Banner Of Truth 2014
Thou hast given a banner to them that fear thee, that it may be displayed because of the truth. (Psalm 60:4 )

"Thou hast given a banner to them that fear Thee, that it may be displayed because of the truth" (Ps. 60:4).

(Part 2)

“What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us,

who can be against us?” (Rom. 8:31).

And His Kingdom is From Generation to Generation.  For Thy God is thy Keeper and He “shall neither slumber nor sleep” (Ps. 121:3-5). There is no lack of any kind in the Kingdom of God.  No periods of time, no generation of men – no not one – in which this was not true – for His kingdom IS!
In the generation of Abraham, His Kingdom IS! In the generation of Moses, His Kingdom IS! In the generation of David, His Kingdom IS! And in the generation in which we live, His Kingdom IS!
In the generation of Noah, they were they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage: as if this generation was ruling in the earth, doing anything and everything they desired. So it seemed to them. But they were dead wrong.
They knew not that the day and hour of their judgment had been declared by the Most High God, and when that day had come, “the flood came, and took them all away” (Mt. 24:36-39) – revealing that “the heavens do rule” (Dan. 4:26).
He Doeth According to His Will In the Army of Heaven.  One of the most revealed names of the Most High God is “The Lord of Hosts”  - over two hundred mentions from Genesis to Malachi – “whose Name is called by the Name of The Lord of Hosts” (II Sam. 6:2). And God doeth His will among the army or the hosts of heaven.
Hear of some of their exploits: A single one of the army of heaven, “smote in the camp of the Assyrians an hundred fourscore and five thousand” (II Kgs. 19:35) who came against the people of God in a single night.
Two of the army of heaven (Gen. 19:1), utterly destroyed “Sodom and Gomorrah, and toward all the land of the plain, and beheld, and, lo, the smoke of the country went up as the smoke of a furnace” (Gen 19:28).
But know this of The Lord of Hosts: “The LORD shall fight for you” (Ex. 14:14). “The LORD your God is He that goeth with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you” (Deut. 20:4).  “The LORD of Hosts is with us” (Ps. 46:7, 11), being demonstrated even moreso now that Jesus is at the right hand of God – exalted! – who sends forth the army of heaven to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation (Heb. 1:14).
And Among the Inhabitants of the Earth. If God’s will is being done in the army of heaven, it most certainly will be done in the earth. There were a people who determined to build a city and a tower whose top would reach into heaven so that they would make a name for themselves (Gen. 11:4-9). God was against them, confounded their language, and scattered them abroad, never to be heard from again.
The mightiest king of the earth – in his appointed time – had determined to keep God’s people to be servant’s to himself, not heeding the word of God: “Let my people go” (Ex. 5:1). Being king, Pharaoh believed his will was over that of the Most High God, but he was seriously mistaken – even unto his death and the death of his entire army, when they all were overthrown in the sea.
The truth of the matter is thusly concluded, being as true now as it was when each of these events happened: none can stay His hand, or say unto Him, What doest thou?”
Written for Our Learning. “For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope” (Rom. 15:4).
All these things actually happened (I Cor. 10:11) and were recorded for us about God so that our faith and hope would be in Him.
For God has an eternal purpose for us: God predestinated us to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren (Rom. 8:29). And no one or nothing shall be able to stop what God has desired or purposed. This is the power of the declaration of the Word of God, and it is in seeing The Only True God and Jesus Christ whom He hath sent that strengthens our faith and hope, enabling us all to endure to the end that we all might partake of the fullness of the promise.
Brethren, believe in and draw nigh unto the God that is for you – Jesus is The Way (Jn. 14:6). Michael Zaucha

"Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning;  and ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately" (Lk. 12:35-36).
